Took over a programme mid-flight, rebuilt both codebase and team, and shipped the stabilised version in 3 months. It now serves 5,000+ users.
What it was
A platform that lets business areas build and operate virtual chat assistants without needing an engineering team for every new agent.
What I did
I took over mid-programme after the previous delivery lead departed, inheriting an unstable codebase and a fragmented team. I rebuilt both and shipped the stabilised version in 3 months with a 4-person squad, working directly with the client PO, manager and director.
Outcome
The platform now serves 5,000+ users: standard chat agents ship with only a light engineering review, and complex agents build on the existing foundation. I handed delivery back to the client for the final release, on plan.
